Carlo Ancelotti is happy with the squad he has. Despite the departures of his strikers, he has not changed his mind and will opt to use Eden Hazard as a substitute for Karim Benzema.
Carlo Ancelotti sees positive signs of improvement in the Real Madrid squad. He has only added two players to a squad that, just a few months ago, won La Liga and the Champions League.
The lack of strikers does not worry the Italian coach. Luka Jovic and Borja Mayoral have left, Mariano is close to leaving and only Karim Benzema and Latasa remain.
Despite this, Ancelotti's idea has not changed. The Italian is going to use Eden Hazard as a '9', in cases where the French striker is not available or is substituted in matches.
An idea that, so far, has not worked in pre-season. The Belgian has looked a little lost when playing as a center-forward, despite possible greater freedom of movement.
Ancelotti, for the moment, will opt to field the same eleven that won the last Champions League final in the European Super Cup next Wednesday, with the Frenchman but not the Belgian.
So, despite the offers that have arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu, Carlo Ancelotti is still committed to maintaining last season's squad with a couple of additions.
